In Maventibao, there is a school run by MadaClinics. It is attended by around 150 children from across the region. Ena and Mea from the east of Switzerland completed a volunteer placement at the school from January to March 2025. They worked at the school for two months. Initially, they mainly taught the students (of all ages), and later they also trained and provided further education to the teachers.
When Ena and Mea decided that they wanted to do volunteer work, they contacted Verein Nihaona. In collaboration with the association’s president, Florentin Sehn, who has visited Maventibao several times, they were able to plan their trip and gather experience before setting off for Madagascar.
